Wotcher wanna-be-witches, I have lots of good news to tell you: I have now completed 18 locations out of the 21 that comprise the witch guild - three more to go and that'll be phase 2 out the way. I've managed to fix a few problems that have been driving me up the wall for months too. Remember the demon-claw coat hook in the hallway? Well, I didn't want it to show up in the room so was forced to set its short name to "". Unfortunately, this has a side-effect - when you attack you get the message "You attack ." (space intentional). The solution was (how shalll I put this) lateral - I made maximum use of the "determinate" property and the /b operator. Now it works perfectly. Also had trouble with container inside of containers, i.e. in Esme Weatherwax's bedroom I've created several tables and chest of drawers with drawers - the trouble is, there are problems when you try to put things in and take things out these drawers. My only solution was to create the chest of drawers as a standard object (with a container-like description) and create the drawers and hide them outside in the room itself. Jeremy has helped a lot with this project and I have every faith in him to do us grand in the future. Whether or not he (or any others) wish to volunteer for bug-testing is another matter, however, as I'm clocking nearly 300Kb at the moment. Being a perfectionist I'm normally reluctant to sing praise over my own work, but I'm starting to become rather enthusiastic about this poop-hot guild as it's finally coming together rather nicely. Catchya, -- Amber (the crabby, pedantic and argumentative witch)
